Sodagreen - Bei Zhe Ni

背著你
Su Da Lv
Bei Zhe Ni
Sodagreen
Carrying You

Bei zhe ni du shu bei zhe ni xie zi
I carry you reading, carry you writing
Ni zai bu hui ze bei wo bu gou yong gong
Then you won’t criticize me for not being diligent enough
I carry you wounded, wounded with concern to my happiness
Bei zhe ni chen mo bei zhe ni chuan dong
I carry you silent, carry you pierced
Ni zai bu hui rang wo kan chao qi chao luo
Then you won’t let me watch the tide rise and fall again

Wo de ai jing bu yi er fei

My love suddenly disappeared without a trace
Dan hui yi gong wo zai ye li xiao fei
But my recollections consume me in the night
Wu suo wei dang lei dou cheng hui
It doesn’t matter, those tears all turned to dust
Bei zhe ni de dao yi xie shi jian
Carrying you got me some time

Bei zhe ni du shu bei zhe ni xie zi
I carry you reading, carry you writing
Ni zai bu hui ze bei wo bu gou yong gong
Then you won’t criticize me for not being diligent enough
Bei zhe ni chen mo bei zhe ni chuan dong
I carry you silent, carry you pierced
Ni zai bu hui rang wo kan chao qi chao luo
Then you won’t let me watch the tide rise and fall again

Wo de ai jing bu yi er fei
My love suddenly disappeared without a trace
Dan hui yi gong wo zai ye li xiao fei
But my recollections consume me in the night
Wu suo wei dang lei dou hua cheng yi pian hui
It doesn’t matter, those tears all changed to pieces dust
Bei zhe ni de dao yi xie shi jian
Carrying you got me some time

**

Bei zhe ni wo an ting le shi jian
Carrying you, I restrained time

NOTE:
Here’s another site that translates it as “Behind Your Back.” Honestly, I think his version also makes sense in a way, except the question of how doing things behind her back would prove your diligence, and I always saw the character “
” functioning as the “-ing” in English so I’ll stick with mine. This is what makes translating so much fun – it all depends on the translator. There’s really no right or wrong. ^_^ The only person who would know is the lyricist.
