OK... so, the first thing that comes to one's mind when someone says "tattoo" isn't really complimentary, is it? Well, humph. I don't care because I want one. Don't ask me why because I can honestly tell you that I have no idea. Basically, a part of me wants one and so, in order to treat myself, I'll get one. I mean, it's one of those things I really want to experience, yeah? What's great is that I'm now in Austin AWAY from my dear parents soo... :) Hm. It'll be a bit more easier to get one and let them know a couple of year into the future. haha..
No, I'm not going all "bad" like my parents would say. I just want one. So, if I'm going to permanently put something on my skin, I have to really think about it. After all, even though I want one and I have no qualms about getting one, I still have to think how it'll affect my life. Since I plan to become a Physician Assistant... it better be out of sight, for the most part. :) That took care of the location of the tattoo though I'm currently debating where on my back: upper back, lower back, centrally, off to the side?
After that comes the more important part: What should I get it of? Well... I went through some ideas and at first, I wanted a snake and a dragon encircling an ankh. It was supposed to mean something but once I thought about it, it was a little... cocky. I mean, to me, that signified how I was SO over life. lol... OK, well, I am. It is pretty dull, but that's not the point. Plus, it was going to be assymetrical so a snake and a dragon was out. Then I looked around for dragon and ankh drawings. Well, I found a dragon that was more like a half dragon half snake so that totally worked for me. :) In the drawing though, the dragon was in front of the ankh. Well... after seeing that, I decided to sketch it out:

There it is (upper left corner) then I decided the head was a little odd though it looked great in the Internet, but that's why I'm not an artist. haha... Anyway, I drew a couple more dragon-like heads. Oh, the link to that picture is here. Now that I think about it though, I like the head that's off to the bottom-most right of all of the heads because... uh.. I dunno. Either that one or the picture that I based the main dragon on. Also, I'm thinking maybe the dragon/wyvern would entwine itself around the ankh.
Oh.. ignore the eye. I was bored and didn't want to do my homework and since I was in the drawing mood...
So, yep! Now... if everything goes according to plan, I should have a tattoo by next year, next spring at the latest. :) -rubs hands together in anticipation-
