Well, I slept at around 0315 this morning and I woke up at around 0615 and I wasn't dreadfully sleepy until Internship. One of the teachers, Mrs. Holmes, was lecturing us on vital signs and I was wide awake until SUDDENLY I couldn't keep my eyes open! It was peculiar. I mean not that it hasn't happened before - but it's just plain weird. I mean wouldn't you think I would be sleepy on the way to school? Well, not exactly, I aimed 3 air conditioning vents straight at me (not at my face - it would dry out my eyes and that's not very wise. LOL.. that rhymes!). But really! The sleeping spell I lasped into was short but well-needed. I could feel my eyes closing but no matter what I did, my eyes ended up closing. Mrs. Holmes must've seen me for next thing I know, she had ahold on my wrist feeling my radial pulse and demonstrating to the class. lol... boy did I feel embarrassed! ALSO, I had two tests today: Medical Safety Test on fire safety, lab safety, standard precautions, body mechanics... The usual mumbo jumbo. *sigh* I regret to say that I didn't study for I was pretty busy yesterday night and this morning. I had a project and some other minor assignments but they were all still due today (BOOO!!!). The second test was in Pre-Cal on parent functions, something notation, ladder graph (also called something else but I forgot), etc. The tricky thing about this test was that calculators were not allowed. We were to graph equations without the aid of a calculator. We were to decipher what the translation an equation was without the aid of a calculator. It goes on. lol... Amazingly, I found it all right. I'm pretty sure I passed but I won't say anything more than that just in case I fail and I make a fool of myself. :P
*sigh* I have a psychology test tomorrow. I am SOOOO dead.
One of the reasons why I was up so late was the fact that I was in the middle of finishing my medical project presentation and that Maerilly and I were to apply for housing at University of Texas at Austin since it starts on September 1st. Oh WHY did it have to pick the busiest day in school so far?? The sucky thing was that it was a complete waste of time. Maerilly's computer/the site wouldn't let her fill out the application telling her she wasn't signed in - which she was. Mine was fine until I got to the stupid payment page where they ONLY accepted Mastercard and Discover. I have Visa. Grr them!! Soo I'm going to fill it out by hand and send it via snail mail. Not as convenient but it's better than nothing!
Oh!! You know that embarrassing thing I do in government? Last class period, I succeeded in NOT having as much as a wandering mind by holding a pencil in my right hand and taking notes from the book while the teacher was talking. Therefore, I cannot rest my head in my right hand and I have no way of looking at him! Well, unless he decides to make a comment that is. :) Now.. it all shall stop. *sigh of relief* OH! And in last class period, Mr. Scherer called on me to ask me a government question about the coloniesand King George and I wasn't paying attention (I was dozing at my paper) and I got it right! :) I was sooo surprised and he smiled and said that it was a good guess and gave me a thumbs-up! WOW... I never knew I could ever answer anything correctly in the class! It's like a miracle! lol...
Ooh... gotta show you something. This something is a work of art! The person who invented this was a genious! It's Dr. Scholl's Toenail Clipper.
I clipped my toenails and fingernails (AT LAST!!) since early on in the summer and now they're clipped. The amazing thing about this nail clipper is that it cuts my toenails without a struggle! It was like cutting through some soft cheese! My toenails (as well as fingernails) are pretty thick and such and when this beautiful contraption separated my nails from the nail beds without me struggling, it was COOL. Way beyond cool. lol... Well, I'm going to go now so I can get something to drink, take a shower, and do my government homework and study for the test but before I do... lemme see if I can post pictures from the digital camera on here yet...
hehe... tightness. It works!!! It just takes a little longer than the rest of the pictures. :\ Oh wells! lol.. well, this picture was taken in the Border's Bookstore at The Fountains in the Psychology section because that was where most of the empty chairs were. I never want to plant myself in the psychology section ever again! There are some X-rated stuff there! *shakes head* lol... My dad took the picture because he thought that angle at which our chairs were in was really cool so next thing you know... *smile! You're on candid camera!* haha... And I just realised something. I basically blended in. I mean that my hair blends into my shirt which blended into my pants. haha... I guess that's what you get for wearing all black!
It WAS a very comfortable outfit though. :)
**note: in the middle of this, I decided to lay on my bed to rest my eyes a bit -- I "rested my eyes" at between 6 - 7 and I opened them at around 8:30 so there is a slight time lapse at the end.**
