New Family Members and New Toys...

I welcome, to the Tu family, Poppy! Poppy's a new addition to the family that one of my dad's coworkers gave him along with a fancy-looking cage. lol... he's pretty cute. He's a European Finch and luckily for you, I believe in TONS of visuals (plus I LOVE the feature!!!) so here it goes! I present to you... *drum roll*... Poppy!!!! lol... by the waym Poppy's to the left.

Well, I named him Poppy because my dad couldn't pronounce the word "Flit'" since Poppy seemed to loooove to flit across the two wooden beams consistently. Also because there are teeny-weenie black-and-white speckles on his forehead reminding me of Poppy seeds and my dad seems to be able to pronounce Poppy well. :) Sooo... the name stuck! hehe... Poppy's such an adorable name, isn't it? There's also a beak sharpener in the cage. Poppy doesn't seem to need it much: it's beak already looks sharp enough! hehe... so now, the family has 4 birds (one European Finch and three Parakeets) and a numerous amount of fish since they keep on reproducing. LOL... I'd rather like a dog but oh well. *sigh* Birds are quite cool as well. lol... And they're pretty to look at. Plus they have odd habits. ...So do the fish, for that matter. HAHA...

Oh yes! Now we can also talk about the "new toy". The new toy is a DIGITAL CAMERA!!! It's a red Olympus Stylus 500 Digital Camera. I looked it up on google and this is what I got:

That above looks REALLY cool, huh? LOL.. sorry to say that I don't think my camera is just an irregular shape and doesn't have what looks like a wheelie thingy at the top left/right, depending on which way you're looking at it. Mine's thin, red, in the classic short rectangular shape but I still loooove it anyways! haha... if I can get an accurate picture of it later on, I will. Until then, feel free to think that I am in possession of that beauty above! Oh yes! And a digital camera equals more pictures on here!!! hehe... :P

Well, I have seemed to have not written anything about the B Day of school. lol... I'm tired for I just woke up from an unplanned nap (I guess I was more tired than I thought) and still a bit groggy (and absentminded, as my friends pointed out... LOL... *rolls eyes* But I like that all the time anyways so it shouldn't be a new development) so I'll just list out my ENTIRE schedule...

SCHEDULE FOR FIRST SEMESTER

  1. Psychology H/AP - Mr. Velazquez (pretty cool class. I have no complaints against it, at least. LOL...)
  2. Government H/AP - Mr. Scherer (OK, I'm prejudiced about this class since I just HATE government, politics, and economics mainly because it's just one thing I can never truly GET. This is the class I'm worried about. This is the class I dread. *ahem* This is the class I sleep in. hehe... well, the teacher's all right. He's pretty old but he's fairly cool.)
  3. Biology II AP - Ms. Knipe (I looove this class. Most of my friends are in this class, we're going to dissect a cat and do multiple labs... What ELSE can you ask for??)
  4. Orchestra 1V AD - Mr. Soto (This class is all right. It's the class I'm trying to get out of to change to 'band lab' for a non-credit orchestra class. Either that or I get off-campus or office aide. The point is that I'm the only senior there and there's one other though the other people are cool but the point is that I JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE PRACTICING. lol.. I have a feeling that the strings on my violin are severely out of tune. :\)
  5. English IV AP - Ms. Clarke (This class is pretty cool but Ms. Clarke is quite scary since she seems to imply that she LOVES to torture us and she smiles incessantly. Oh - and she has this wide gap between her two front teeth that she seems so fond of displaying for all to see. lol... One thing though: I hate the books we're supposed to read in the class. "Crime and Punishment"'s assessment is this Friday or something like that so I have to ATTEMPT to read the book. I already read the SparkNotes though but reading the book'll be better though my mind doesn't absorb much of what I read. hehe...)
  6. Advanced Medical Internship H - Ms. Williams (This class is all right. It's two periods long and we share the class with Ms. Holmes' internship class and this is the class where I got the most amount of homework: 2 projects and an essay assignment. Ugh... lol... One of the projects is the Ebola Virus one. I don't mind that one much. :P This class is probably one of the most busiest - even considering we have two periods of this since we don't start "mentorships" until September. Grrr...)
  7. Same a ABOVE!!!
  8. Pre-Calculus H - Mrs. Johnston (I actually like this class. I like how Mrs. Johnston teaches and she's pretty nice plus some of my friends are in the class. I have daily homework from this class (usually numerous amounts of worksheets - the first day was 6 pages and I now have 3 pages which is a good improvement). I also have a quiz tomorrow. *sigh* Oh! And the Pre-Assessment packet for the class is due on Friday...)

Now, those are my classes. Well! I better go now and get started on my English homework (something about annotating, analyzing, and commenting on an essay which should make the paper look as messy as possible). lol... Hmm... *thinks* Also do my math homework and review for the math quiz.
