Introductions and Anxiety

Hey all! Well, earlier on today, I was bored and I decided that having my blog with the exact same template for about eight and a half months is kind of boring so I now introduce you to the new (and hopefully improved) page of The Land of Pineapples! :) I like it. It's blue (my favorite color) and it's not too bright which means that my eyes'll be partying tonight (excessive lights and brightness bothers my eyes and results in stabbing pain. Ugh..)! I also tinkered around and figured out how to do some things. That is why I now have a Column for Links called "Juicy Slices" and also a little link-box dealy for www.mugglenet.com. :) I'm a regular there. I was going to add more but I couldn't find some. If I do, you'll see those two link boxes grow into numerous ones and they'll all soon resemble a skyscraper! Well, except there will be no sky as a backdrop and no life in or around it but no matter!

Now onto current news. :) I am happy to say I read about eighty pages today and I plan to read five more chapters tonight before I give in to my dreams. I read a chapter and a half outloud and attempted to concentrate on the rest of the chapter reading silently. It was somewhat hard but doable. Hmmm... The question is that is it possible to finish the book before Wednesday? :\ It can be done. I'm just not sure if I'M the person to do it. In either case, I'll still have to do it so I'll try. Another thing. School's almost here, right? Well, I just finally realised it since it sunk in sometime today. Ugh... Gone are the days where I attempt to laze around until my mom rouses me from a fitful slumber or a restful period doing some light reading. It's all very sad and I'm quite depressed at the prospect of waking up at around 6:00 in the morning - though since I'm driving to school this year, I probably could wake up thirty minutes later!! :D That's probably the only upside to it all.

I'm also quite excited about Advanced Internship as well as meeting all the teachers. I just hope my locker is where it has been for the last three years. Amazing, isn't it? My locker has been in the same hallway for the last three years! I don't suppose it would matter as much since I'll be a mostly-bus-rider but it would be nice for it to be located near the majority of my classes. Where ever they might be. I just hope this school year'll be great! My last one? lol.. I still can't believe I'll be a Senior! Half the incoming Freshmen are probably as tall as I am or taller. I feel like such a midget! :D I've gotten used to most of it by now but it's still disconcerting to find yourself looking up at people when you're talking to them. One good thing though: while the hallway's crowded, I can walked UNDER the stairs. hehe...

The First Day of School shall be grand. I just don't want to go there and act like an idiot looking around for my friends. lol... Which is what I just may do. Just as a precaution, I asked Pradnya to tell me when she's planning to get there and she said at around 7:30. Even so, I may miss her. I believe the upperclassmen wait in the gym. That gym is pretty big. :\ Too bad the library won't be open on the first day... or will it? *smiles* OH! One good thing! I have at least sixty volunteer hours that I've accumulated during the summer! Well, nice to know that my summer's been a bit productive.

Well, nevertheless, I am done with talking about school! Let the homework come! The projects and the tests! Most of all, let the fun persist! (It had better.) I have nothing to fear! Only an impossible teacher like Butthead Burnham.

*gulp* I just remembered that I didn't touch my violin throughout the entire summer. Oh boy! I hope I don't have to play in Band Lab! That would be disastrous! Half my friends would know that I haven't been practicing when they see my long fingernails... Well, not really. :) I've always played with long nails. Maybe I should clip them! *ponders* ...Nah! They're too pretty! I haven't cut them in at least a month! They deserve to live to their full potential... though one seems to be sharpening to a point...

Well, I haven't scratched myself yet. My mind and the other Irises agree with me. They shall stay.
