Now... we all know about math. We all have the class. We all had it since like... FoReVeR (my, what a depress thought. :() We all either like or dislike it. Now... the question is WHICH ONE. Is it that you LIKE or DISLIKE it. Some people would even go as far as saying that they LoAtHe the subject (just don't say it in front of a math teacher... I've done it before. hehe... :D). Now... most people like the subject because they think it's FuN. *raises eyebrow* RIGHT. Others say that it just totally SuCkS. Other's like it because of the grades they get - but that may NOT be so. How do I know?
Well, I DiSlIkE math - a lot. I however have nothing against it seeing as I've always made high "A"s in it... until THIS SCHOOL YEAR. I mean, I never really actually understood all the MuMbO JuMbO the teachers TRIED to instill in our lobes. I just self taught myself everything - and I made "A"s on the test. UNTIL THIS SCHOOL YEAR. I've always did a TEST and I felt absolutely sure that I bombed it and then I find out I got an "A" on it. UNTIL THIS SCHOOL YEAR. Soo... do you all get my drift here?
Me and my fellow PiNeApPlEiAnS just wanted to make sure. :) Well, this year, it all changed. I mean... my test taking skills are as odd as ever - BUT they never work in math again. I mean... I'm actually getting "B"s. Out of all the things... I got a "B". NOW, however - meaning the SeCoNd SeMeStEr - my first progress report arrived... and my math grade was atrocious. The thing that got to me the most was that I HAD NO IDEA I WAS GOING TO GET THAT LOW OF A GRADE!!! We NeVeR got our papers back. I turned in everything. I mean... it HAD to be a typo.... right? Another thing that got to me was that our last section in the class was on QuAdRaTiCs. You know what? Even though I've hated math most of my life, quadratics were my absolute FAVORITE. Now... how in the WORLD could I get something LOWER than a "B"? And no, it wasn't a "C".
*pauses*
*deep breath* I suppose it wasn't a "D" either. YES. Me, Iris, am failing math. I'm not FAILING gallantly either. I mean.. it was like.. okie.. PiCtUrE this: There's a trench (above ground) that's as deep and as steep and the MARIANA TRENCH. Now... imagine falling down. *waits* Yeah.. exactly. I got a *whispers* fifty-one. AHHH! It's horrific! I can feel my ears BURNING offf!!!!! (I wish - not really, but yeah, you get the gist - since if that happened, I might not get the same class.)
NOW, I ask you, why would I get a FAILING grade in math on my most favorite part of math when I get "B"s on other parts of math I just plain LoAtHe which may not even come close to how I feel about it. I mean.. it was freakin' FACTORING. I hated factoring. I mean.. that's "Box Method" the teachers tried to teach me never went through me skull. More like it slid right off like a piece of wet soap ShOoTiNg out of a firm grip. So... HOW is it even remotely possible that I'm doing so badly this year?
Is it because I'm not working hard enough? Maybe.
Is it because I've been quite distracted? Possibly.
Is it because I'm not understanding the information? Only half the time - but for that, I got the "B"s, remember?
Is it because I'm a nincompoop? :) Perhaps... hehe.. just decided to add that to lighten things up. Decided it was too... "STUFFY" in here.
Is it because the teacher herself is incompetent? You never know. I don't have substantial proof of that yet. :) lol.. j/k
Is it because all things math-related are conspiring against me? It's what I want to know. Therefore I cannot answer the question since it's asking for what I know about this particular thing when I don't know anything about it.
Does that give me a reason to make this low of a grade? Possible - but not in my world.
Now... after all the reminiscing and SHTUFF, I now conclude that I'm a bonehead of a Pineapple and that I should go do my math homework rather than ponder. I can do that ToMoRrOw. :) Plus... my eyes're drooping again. :\
Well, GoOd NiGhT for today! 'Til next time when I can bug and ponder about another something that's bothering me. hehe...
lol.... :D
