Well, I took my seconds TAKS thingy today and it wasn't bad. I loved the example question (Who was the president of the U.S. during the Civil War?) because, well, I am somewhat obsessed with the Civil War. I used to be more obsessed though. hehe... I remember years back when I had enough sleep that I would wake up about 30 to 40 minutes early just to wake up in time to watch a show on the History Channel called "Civil War Journals". Now, the process of waking Iris up is equivalent to the struggle you'd have to put up if attempting to force feed poison down Iris' throat. LOL... - UNLESS there's something I'm looking forward to that like (i.e. seeing Will). :P hehe... Which reminds me! I might be seeing him this Saturday! *yays* And ALONE! With no one! *sigh* I don't care where we go as long as I see him. I hate not seeing him for an entire week. It may only be seven days but it's seven hellishly LONG days. :) (Sorry that I said the "h" word for those of you that are offended. In my religion, the word is used freely.)
Well, anyways... :) I'm somewhat nervous about tomorrow (the TAKS part) due to the fact it's on Science. I have a TAKS book to read from to study but still! lol... I haven't looked at it yet. I have to look over the physics part especially. In short, I don't like physics. That may be an understatement. lol... I suppose I should go over the other stuff too. *sigh* Anyways... onto more nice subjects. :) I've been taking up reding again! Lots and lots of it! I read "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini (which is a SUPERB book!!!) and "The Terrorists of Irustan" by Louise Marley (another GREAT book - it's on female rights). I'm currently reading "Blood Secret" by Kathryn Lasky. It's a historical novel based on the Spanish Inquisition. So far it's pretty good. Right now, I'm waiting for "First Rider's Call" by Kristen Britain, "Eldest" by Christopher Paolini, and "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" by J.K. Rowling (which I reserved about 3 months ago. lol... :P). My mom hates it when I read. She says I'm like a useless bump on a log just sitting/laying there reading until I'm done with the book but then I get ANOTHER book and it starts all over again. LOL... Well, I promise you, I will purposely leave my for-fun books at home and take all my school books to school. Like "Invisible Man". LOL... I'm SO behind on that.
Well! TAKS tomorrow, I'm not asleep. lol.. I have to read that TAKS book that's almost an inch thick. :\ Yes, not in the greatest position now, but who cares? :) lol.. OK, I do. Hm.. that was a rhetorical question and I answered it! LOL...
Anyways... Oh! AP tests are coming up too. :\ Gotta study for those too! *sigh* School is so demanding! Honestly.
With pointless state testing that does nothing but fails kids who just aren't good at tests but know their stuff (and kids that just plain don't know their stuff) and homework with projects that cause migraines. I have one now. LOL... Maybe I'll just go to bed. ARGH! I have 3 projects! *sigh*
:) I GET TO SEE WILL - maybe!!! lol..
